Honoring Native American Heritage Month
The Indian Bowl is a tradition of the Northwoods of Wisconsin, and the primary culture venue of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. After 60+ years of celebration, the pow wow grounds arena must be replaced. Construction will soon begin on Phase 1 of the new Waaswaaganing Indian Bowl. This will include a beautiful new arena and dance registration building.
$2.5 million is needed for Phase 2 of the Living Arts & Culture Center. The facility will be a cultural learning center for visitors, and an important training center for Tribal artists, young and old.
